Vortex Tool
A vortex is defined as the motion of a fluid swirling rapidly around a center. 
That is what this tool I developed is all about.  By diving into the process  (a dying of the old self) what is born out of the vortex is your true self!  A vortex of inwardness of inward being.

Values - discover your top 5 values through awareness, insights, and perspectives.  When you know your values and incorporate them into your daily life you are honoring who you are.   Decisions and life choices will be clear and made with ease by knowing what it is you value.  Much happiness will arise from living in alignment with these values. 

Objective -  relating to an object or end goal. What are your goals?  When you know your values and the goals you set are in alignment with those values your chances for successful achievement are substantially greater. 
*develop an action plan to achieve your goal with structures set in place to ensure success.
*remember to celebrate and acknowledge yourself when action steps are met.


Role models have the ability to move us forward on our life path.  Think of a characteristic or quality of one of your greatest role models.  Now close your eyes and image and feel what it is like to be that person.  How do they act and move in the world? See yourself as moving and having your being in this manner.   Or.....if you are really bold be your own role model.  Model out in the world who it is you want to be regardless of whether you think you are that or not.  Just be it!  You really are that already - you have just forgotten.  Remind yourself. 

Teachings are a great motivator in helping you to stay positive and focused.  Think of what teachings you have used in your life or take some time to find teachings that inspire you and help you move forward with your life and goals.

Experience or action.  Move into new experiences that you decide upon that support your goals.  Embrace life with these experiences.  Also, think on past experiences and how they served you.  What worked and what didn't?  What did you learn from them and how can you apply that to your future experiences?

X stands for an exemplary life  (so commendable as to serve as a model).    You will be living an empowered life that you created.  This empowerment has the ability to serve you going forward in every aspect of who YOU are. You will be a shining example to the world.

The Cure for Judgment

The cure for judgment is not simply acceptance of the other.  The path is slightly more circuitous than that.  The cure for judgment is self-love.  When people lack love for themselves, they move into the world from an unstable base.  In order to try to gain a sense of their place in the world, they begin comparing themselves to others.  When you compare yourself to others, you are in a state of judgment, because no two people are the same and you will always end up with a conclusion that you are better than the other person or they are better than you. 

People, who truly love and value themselves, don't feel the need to compare themselves to others.  Where they do make comparisons, it is with their own performance at an earlier point in time, and their vision of themselves in the future.  They become their own touchstone for achievement and success.  Once you are in this state of feeling in control of your own success, you have a stable base from which to engage with others.  Instead of comparing other people's lives to yours, you are able to allow them their own journey.

When you practice self-love and focus on your own life journey, it is a natural extension to then allow others to do the same.  A person is able to look at another person, without comparing their life to his or her own.  Instead, they support the person to go through a similar process of growth, to become their own touchstone for achievement and success.  A person who doesn't judge is able to respect and celebrate the separate and unique human journey of another person.

The world is divided up between those who practice self-love and those who don't.  Self-love is a long-term disciplined practice, which all human beings struggle with over time.  If you feel that judgement is creeping into your relationships, perhaps this is a signal to stop for a moment, and focus on nurturing yourself.  Revisit your own goals, acknowledge yourself, reconnect with your support circle, celebrate your magnificence, and then feel the judgment simply fall away!!

Well of Expansion

   Recently, while in meditation I saw my life as a vast well of expanding water.  As the water expanded bubbles would rise to the surface.  These bubbles were representative of my life experiences.  There were an infinite number of bubbles that had already risen and as many to follow.  It was beautiful to view my life as a series of bubbles rising up to burst forth and give birth to new life experiences.  Each bubble held within it the light of infinite possibility.  See, I am that Rising – I am the bubble – I am the vastness – the expansion of the water – just as we all are! 

   We have the capacity to rise above our life situations and view them within that well of expansion and see all the possibility and potential of our life in every situation.  It is in this rising that our meaning for life – our life purpose becomes clear and defined for us.  All of these bubbles form and show up as our life and each bubble works with every other bubble to lay out our life’s path.  So amazingly beautiful. 

Welcome to my blog!

     When I was a little girl I would pray to God, the God of my understanding that is, to help me to help others.  As a small child I had such a desire to ease pain and lift others to a place of joy and hope.  I had many conversations with God over the years on this subject.
     That desire has always stayed strong within me.  Although I don't help in a traditional sense, as in counseling or therapy, I do support others with my friendship and the very desire I spoke of.  I have been given guidance that allows me to shine the light inside of people's darkness on many different paths in my life.  This path began when I was in my early 20's by volunteering as a tutor in a local Elementary school.  I could clearly see that one of the main areas these children needed help with was a sense of belief in themselves.  I believed I could bring that level of confidence to them through encouragement, reminders of their past achievements and most importantly by my believing in them.  I believed in them with every part of me.  Doesn't everyone have a desire to be believed in? 
     Life moved on and I received my Cosmetology license.  There's something about having someone touch your head that propels you to TALK.  Maybe since a level of trust has already been established when you put your head in someone else's hands.  Most of my clients, as I would transform them with a new haircut or some beautiful color, would give to me a part of their life through conversation.   We would share in their joys and laugh or I would simply listen with a compassionate ear to their seeming troubles.  I enjoyed being trusted by these amazing people and being in their presence.  It was truly an honor for me.
     Soon after I became a mom- my greatest joy, achievement and opportunity to make a difference so far.  I can't say enough about the gratitude I have for being blessed with these precious angels.  Both of my children are in school and once my youngest child went into Elementary school I found myself tutoring and volunteering again.  I love to be in the presence of children.  They have such beautiful insights and views of life.  My favorite part of being with these kids is seeing their faces and smiles as the trust and friendship between us blossomed.  To once again be able to share with them their strengths and wonderful qualities was a smile on my heart.
     This same smile grins as many times as I give a compliment or a hug or an encouraging word to another human being.  It simply is who I am to lift another as I feel it is who we ALL are.  To love and be loved, to support and be supported, to believe in someone and have someone believe in us - that is a gift and I am thankful to have all of these. 
     In January of 2010 I was introduced to The Oneness Blessing, Deeksha, by a dear and truly compassionate woman.  This was another way for me to share my gift of hope and love.  This blessing has the ability to awaken and transform through sheer willingness and desire.  I began sharing the blessing with family and friends and in my Spiritual Community, Journeys.  Along with this blessing I was able to feel a sense of the person's strengths and how they were able to shine their light on the world and share that with them in a simple affirmation of  " I see you... "   This affirmation could be I see the divinity within you spreading love and peace or I see the creativity within you sharing beauty in the lives of others or I see your love of teaching touching the lives of many. 
     This really opened up a space within me that has moved me forward on my life's path to become a Certified Professional Coach.  What better way to do what I love?  It is my wish for you to have the life of your deepest desires - to embrace who you are - to embrace your life with joy and gratitude.  To always be growing and stretching, transforming and morphing into the highest and most profound vision of YOU!
